The Langley Get Fit For Life Project
offers young people, aged 10-16 years
a non static fitness program, across
different parts of the Langley Estate
to those young people disassociated
with services.
Coordinated in partnership between
the Rochdale Youth Inclusion Project
and the Langley Youth Millennium Centre,
the project is open to all young people
deemed to be most at risk of disaffection
via relevant referring agencies such
as Youth Service, Social Services,
Schools and Non-Statutory Agencies.
Activities include football training,
gym sessions, basketball training,
dance and music to name but a few.
Sessions also incorporate a one-hour
workshop to cover discrete healthy
lifestyle topics such as;
• Mental health
• Coping with stress
• Drug awareness
• Overuse of legal substances
• Nutrition
• Acute/chronic illness
• Physiological needs
